Hello, winter...

It may not actually be winter yet, but it's certainly around the corner. One of my first clues was this shopping list Jonathan started yesterday. I found it on the mantle this morning.

We discovered last year that a candle can warm the room a degree or two. And since we pinch pennies by keeping the thermostat at 17 degrees Celsius (63 degrees in America), I guess a few large candles would be a good investment when I go to the store next!

Les Pauvres Masson! Yes, I can vouch for you. Lyon gets mighty chilly and you can use all of the candles you can get to warn up your apartment a bit. Despite the chill, I'd do anything to be there with you guys this winter.

coming from a guest of chez masson, i completely think the candles are worth the money! my most glorious times in france were the 15 minutes in the hot shower...even though i know i promised you i'd try to make it 10. you were gracious to my poor long-john covered body.

Stay warm!

Thanks for the tip!
It got into the low 40's last night...not that cold unless you have a body that never quite recovered from Africa weather!

Tonight I am going to pull out all those white pillar candles left over from our wedding and put them to good use.

How's the Third Day cd? I am debating on purchasing it or not.

We charged up the radiators for the first time this morning, but I think some huge candles could be in order. Thanks for the great (and romantic) tip! Love - N

It is getting rather chilly here in IA as well. Monday was the exception as it shot up to almost 70 degrees. Iowa is one of those great places that some days you will use your heater driving to work and the air on the way home :)
