A nine-day weekend...
Afternoon coffee with Jonathan (photographer) and Kendra at Raconte-moi la terre
Spring has arrived, and with perfect timing. Jonathan had last week off from school (but still studied and worked in the clinic one day) and I was able to finaggle working from home for five days, which means I only went into the office one day out of the past nine. Yeah - it was wonderful. And I was able to get together with my friend Kendra a few times during the week. Today we finally got the four of us together for the first time.

Mark, Kendra, me and Jonathan
The way we met Mark and Kendra is pretty unique...if a wee bit nerdy on my part. They read our blog while living in the US before moving here to Lyon. Kendra left a comment one day and we started emailing. Next thing you know...we're buddies! (So let that be a lesson - or warning - to all of you who don't leave comments on blogs you read.) In another twist of uniqueness, Mark subscribes to one of the magazines I work with. It was so fun to go into their living room and see magazine covers I had worked on!
So we're back to the ol' grind and the books tomorrow. But summer's coming! (Won't it be sad the day I realize that I no longer get summers off?)

Another key element. "Coca-Cola contains sugar, a source of energy. Appreciate it as part of an active lifestyle".

I just love your hair girl!
Jonathan is active enough for the two of you!
We know the feeling. Meeting friends via the internet is either a fabulous by-product of the technological revolution -- or kind of creepy.
Kari, your look fabulous in these pictures. Your haircut is so great on you. I think I've commented on this before, but just thought I would say it again because it really does flatter you!
We had warm weather here in Bretagne for three days this past week, too. But now, it's back to cold and rainy, and we are almost the coldest place in France today! What happened to my spring!
I logged on this morning with my cup of tea, and WOW! Ha! I'm on your blog!!! Yahoo! It's incredibly fulfilling-- especially in that "fabulous by-product of the technological revolution" sort of way! You've made my week, and it's only Monday! Thank you, Kari!!! :)
I woke up this morning to a slightly pink face--I think we made a very good start to the pasty skin problem.
Sounds like you had a great weekend! Glad you got to work from home and spend time with your hubby!
How funny: In France Coca-Cola is boasting about its sugar content as an aide to an active lifestyle, while in the U.S. all the beverage companies are looking for sugar substitutes to sweeten their drinks without the calories.
You look beautiful! I love all the photos. And I must say, your nails look faboo. xo
