Mr. Kari Masson...

This morning I got yet another press release by email addressed to the attention of Mr. Kari Masson. I guess it could be worse. The Yves Rocher frequent shopper card that I plop down with each purchase of mascara or lipgloss is in the name of Karl Masson. At least the press emails usually spell my name correctly, even if they assign it the wrong gender.

Nonetheless, when I got the press release I made a comment about being sick of people addressing my mail to 'Monsieur'.

Things changed at about 2pm. I got a payment in the mail for a documentary voice recording I did back in December. Both the check and the envelope were written to Mr. Kari Masson. The payment wasn't for nearly as much as you're probably thinking, but it is enough to pay for our groceries this week.

And that, Mr., Mrs. and Ms. Blogreaders, is a very literal answer to our prayers this morning.

So thankful when we see God at work in the little details of our lives. Just shows how involved He really wants to be...He wants us to bring everything to Him. He wants to supply all our needs...lovingly, and without reproach.

I get called "Karl" all the time too! it was usually on the first day of school in middle and high school:
"Karl?"...."Karl?"
*no answer
"I think you mean Kari"
"no, I'm looking for Karl"
*silence
"it looks a lot like Karl in small print...but it's Kari"
"please don't speak out of turn miss...."
"Freeman"
*awkward silence

*makes check on the paper
"Joshua Gibbons?"

You two look so Euro!

Glad to hear of the surprise in the mail. Did you know that when we went to Mt. Juliet for our first Sunday that your Dad was on staff, the Sunday bulletin said the church welcomes "Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Borders and their baby, Karl"? Everybody thought we had a son, until they saw your precious face and the pink dress.

Ok, I know I'm late. I read this when you posted it but was busy, so I didn't comment then, and it just got away from me. I love the photo of you guys, and I'm very glad God provided so that you could buy groceries...in three different places :)
