End of the season...

Wild flowers we saw on our last walnut foraging expedition

Beautiful, aren't they? Not sure which variety it is that has riled up my allergies and dropped me to the couch all weekend, but they're still pretty and we're enjoying them as the season lasts.

The end of summer-early autumn market season is my absolute favorite Sweet peaches, green beans and fragrant melons sitting next to crisp apples, bright squashes and purple turnips. So even though I haven't felt up to doing a whole lot the last 72 hours (unless, of course, sneezing counts), I summoned my strength to go to the Saturday market this morning. But there will be no walnut foraging walks this weekend.

Lucky for me, blogging can be done from my perch on the couch, just within an arm's reach of the Kleenex box. Achoo!

Sure hope you are feeling better soon. Ahhhh, the idea of staying on the couch all day sounds wonderful, except for the sneezing, watery eyes, and achy body stuff that often goes along with it! Enjoy the soup and crackers and pray for a rain to come soon!
